{Enjoying My Little Ones}

  Lately, I have been kind-of freaking out because my kids are all getting so big.  I can't believe that I have a thirteen year old! What happened?!  I have been really thinking about how very important it is to really spend quality time with them and make wonderful memories with them before they are all grown up.  I am always going a million miles a minute, that sometimes I don't take the time to really enjoy the time that  I am privillaged to spend with them.  I have made a new goal to slow down and really cherish the time that I have with my little ones.  They won't be little for long.

I saw this on my friends blog a while ago and I LOVED it:

*Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry, and pick you up and take you to the park to play.

*Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together..

*Justfor this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.

*Just for this afternoon on, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck and I will buy you one if he comes by.

 *Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned.

*Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.

*Just for this afternoon, I will take us to McDonald's and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.

*Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how
you were born and how much I love you.

*Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.

*Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.

*Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favorite
TV shows.

*Just for this evening when I run my finger through your hair as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.

*I will think about the mothers And fathers who are searching for their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are visiting their children's graves instead of their bedrooms, and mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly, and screaming inside that they can't handle it anymore.

*And when I kiss you good night I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask Him for nothing, except one more day............. *

{If I Survive This Part of the Day...}

4 p.m.  That is the time when my day takes a turn for the worse.

My kids are missing articles of clothing and running around half dressed.  Jetts clothes are on the deck, because he had been playing in the backyard and has managed to get FILTHY.  So, now he is in his pull-up.
My house that was just clean is now a complete disaster.  No matter how fabulous the rest of the day has been, this time is ALWAYS so draining!
I feel like I am surrounded by warlocks & trolls!!!!!  AHHHH!

This little one INSISTS on helping me cook dinner and that is not good because he is going through the 'won't take no for an answer' phase.
Lily P is so crabby at this time, so all she wants is to be held and I give in because I SO love that girl.

So, 9 times out of 10, this is how I end up cooking dinner every night.  It is so hard and my arm is almost falling off because that Lily P is a chunk!

And a lot of the time, this happens because contrary to popular belief, I am NOT a good cook!
Dinner is usually a noisy time with Lily P throwing food and fussing.

But, then after dinner is done and the little ones have all had there baths, I get to sit in the family room and snuggle them and everything is SO good.
I so LOVE my little warlocks and trolls!!!!

{The Pool}

We have LOVED going to the aquatic center this summer!  I will definitely miss our fun swimming days when the kids start school.  My kids love the water and the sun and so do I!

Punk absolutely LOVES the water!!!  She is the funniest little girl.  She has to have her baby and her 'dino' sitting on the side of the pool at all times.  If one of them falls over, she has a major meltdown.  :)
Love this crazy girl!

Eating lunch at the pool.

My good-lookin' Ethan.
LOVE this boy!

Kylie and Lily.  They are the cutest sisters ever!  Kylie adores Lily and Lily adores her.
I am SO happy they have each other!!!
