I am SO behind on my blog, but I am determined to get all caught up. So, I still have to post Christmas happenings. :)
I love love love traditions! One of our traditions for the last 4 years, has been taking gifts to the dogs & cats at the animal shelter. I let the kids pick out 3 things each (toys, treats, food) for the sweet little homeless animals, then we wrap each item. I also donate any blankets or towels that I don't need. We take the gifts to the shelter and the kids get to put them under the Christmas tree that they have there.
I usually don't like to go back and see the animals because I cry everytime. This time, my mom had gone to donate with us so she wanted to go see them. We both cried. I wish I could adopt every dog and kiss it and love it!!!:)
My kids love doing this every year and it is by far my favorite holiday tradition!
When we got home from the shelter, we needed to make Christmas cookies for Santa. This is always so messy but so fun with 6 kids!
Little Miss Punk P didn't want to touch the dough to cut out cookies, but loved eating some of them when they were finished.
My Ethan, who I couldn't have lived without during the festivities! He is so helpful with the little ones, especially Lily P.
Jett, Derek, and Blake did and awesome job decorating their cookies. :)
Kylie has mad cookie cutting skills. Really, she is so good at it!
